In 2025 Air Crop decided to make the switch from DJI drones to EAVision drones. One of the main reasons is because EAVision is headquartered in the United States. Current manufacturing for the United States supply of EAVision drones is imported from Brazil. EAVision has placed investments for manufacturing inside the United States in the coming years. Due to the lack of American based drones in the past years, DJI has been the only option for many drone applicators. Air Crop is proud to make the switch from DJI to EAVision. A company that is also committed to support and build the United States economy.
There are real numbers and advertised numbers. For instance, the DJI T50 in 2024 for Air Crop did an average of 36 acres an hour @ 2GPA. Much less than the advertised rate of 50 acres an hour @ 2GPA. The EAVision J100 is advertised rate is 60 acres an hour @ 2 GPA. After testing by Air Crop, we believe the J100 will average 47 acres an hour @ 2 GPA in our 2025 operations. In 2025 each Air Crop applicator will be operating up to two J100s at a time. Our conservative estimate for 2025 is an individual Air Crop applicator will be able to cover over 500 acres applied in a matter of 10 hours.
When it comes to granular spreading an individual DJI T50 averaged 23 acres an hour @ 50 lbs an acre for Air Crop in 2024. That is roughly 1,150 lbs applied an hour. For 2025 Air Crop expects this to be a slightly higher average for the J100, 28 acres an hour @ 50 lbs an acre. Roughly 1,400 lbs applied an hour. Conservative estimate of 400 acres or 20,000 lbs of product applied in a 10-hour workday, per Air Crop applicator.
Air Crop's J100s can apply liquid and granular products. Liquid products can be applied from 10 microns (fogging) to 300 microns (droplet). Granular products can have a diameter of 0.5 mm to 5 mms. Application locations can be over, trees, crops, rangelands, fence lines, rooftops, waterways and more. Applications can be precision spot treated or blanket coverages of a specified area. Products applied must hold an aerial label for specified crops.
Air Crop uses hand sprayers or spreaders for applications not fit for drones. We use these for more precise application in yards, driveways, right of ways or shorelines.
Air Crop holds application license through the department of agriculture Wisconsin. Licenses include: 1.1 Field and Vegetable, 1.2 Fruit, 2.0 Forestry, 3.0 Turf and Landscape, 5.0 Aquatic and Mosquito, 6.0 Right of Way and Natural Areas, 9.9 Aerial. These licenses allow us to make applications in almost any place needed.
Air Crop holds part 137 aerial application license. All Air Crop drone applicators hold a part 107 commercial drone license.
